Release Notes

Find out what has changed in recent versions

v1.1.3

October 6, 2026
  • • The release notes live at /learn/release-notes -- the link leads to the right place.
  • • The theme `paca` is withdrawn: it is no longer offered in either house.
  • • An expired session gives its message in English ("Your session has expired"), together with the way back to signing in.
  • • The stylesheet is the same on every machine: it is built from the source templates, checked by one checksum.
  • • A handover can be accepted and served -- with mouse, keyboard and touch -- and declining it takes effect.
  • • The delivered interface speaks English, from signing in to the windows behind it.

v1.1.2

October 3, 2026
  • • A project carries its pictures with it: making it private makes the pictures that are already there private too, and publishing it makes them public again.
  • • An uploaded file comes back under its own name — in the list and when it is downloaded; its address stays the identifier.
  • • The file size is named in MB, in the English way (for example 10.00 MB).
  • • Deleting a file leaves no references to it behind.
  • • A file that is too large is turned away with a message that names the size it may have.
  • • File types that are not allowed are turned away while uploading, with a message.
  • • The application names its own delivered stand: version, code stand and environment.
  • • The release notes live under Learn, in the "TellsTree News" section.
  • • When importing, the speaker references resolve to the characters of the target project: the display names the character, and a reference that cannot be resolved is marked as an unknown speaker instead of quietly disappearing.
  • • An expired session gives a reply instead of a silent failure.
  • • The sidebar stays as you set it when the window width changes.
  • • A project list reports the total number of the projects that were asked for, not the number of the page that happens to be shown.

v1.1.1

October 3, 2026
  • • A private project of somebody else no longer gives itself away: it answers like a project that does not exist.
  • • A project image is reachable again and can be downloaded.
  • • Published images are served again - shown and downloadable by name, also without signing in for a published project.
  • • An image marked private is only seen by project members - inside a published project as well.
  • • When a project is set to private, its images are private too: images published before are no longer reachable afterwards.
  • • Deleting a project removes its files with it.
  • • A project change could in rare cases reach the wrong design; this is fixed.
  • • The side menu has been reworked: it collapses and stays collapsed. Two edge cases when the window is resized are known and will follow.

v1.1.0

October 2, 2026
  • • Projects, nodes and edges now carry their own name in the address - a long string instead of a number. Nobody can reach someone else's project by guessing an address any more, and an address no longer tells how many projects exist or how old they are.
  • • Old addresses with numbers, for example /explore/project/1, now lead nowhere. Anyone who saved such a link lands on an error page.
  • • Importing a project file that still works with numbers now shows a message - the existing content stays untouched instead of being half overwritten.
  • • Media uploads now accept files up to 10 MB. If you pick a file that is too large, the reply tells you how large it may be.
  • • Deleting a project now deletes its files with it - the storage stays clean.
